Moroccan Tea | Mint Tea | Atai Tea
Moroccan tea is a tradition and an art form, regulary enjoyed and to welcome guests.
Moroccon tea is made from high grades of green tea, often 'gunpowder' varieties based on the tightly wrapped pearl size shape of the processed green tea leaves. Morocco is one of the largest importers of green tea, primarily from China.
Moroccan tea is boiled in often beautiful sterling silver containers, to which sugar has frequently been added.
Mint is commonly added late in the process, with Moroccan mint have a spicier flavor than some European mint leaves.
Morrocan tea is served in tea glasses, rather than European tea cups, with fresh tea often added to the glasses for flavor and enhanced presentation.

Herbal teas, including all the teas discussed in these pages, should not be consumed by persons who are pregnant or nursing, unless approved by your health care provider. Herbal teas may vary in their ingredients and some herbal tea components may interfere with other important medications. For example, there is some concern that green tea ingestion during pregnancy may reduce the absorption of folate, an important nutrient in fetal nervous system development.
